Dancing with the Stars...Top 7 Performance recap...
Only 7 remain....who is going to come out on top? The dead weight is gone and only the best performers remain...and every one of them is determined to win. The competition is heating up and anyone of the seven could claim the top spot...I will be glued to my t.v. for the next six weeks..that's for sure! Hopefully, all of ya'll will be watching and sharing with me....
Now...all my faithful Dancing with the Stars fan...let's recap last nights show!
First up to dance last night...Sabrina Bryan and Mark Callas...
dancing the Foxtrot...They performed to the song "I'm a Woman"...which was too cheesy of a song for the classic and classy Foxtrot...Sabrina was exhausted from her grueling schedule the week before and it showed...their dance was too hard, too agressive and powerful...not smooth and flowy as it should have been. Although, Carrie Ann felt it was feisty and smooth, she loved it. Me..not so much. Sabrina is a strong contender to win this competition, but last night, she lowered herself a few notches...ending with a score of 25.
The second dance of the evening went to Jenny Garth and her partner Derek Hough..
they absolutely stole the show with their fiery Mambo. Undoubtedly the best dance of the night in my opinion. They start out with killer moves, continuing throughout the entire dance...it was creatively choreographed...Jenny was one sexy, dirty dancing steamy mama last night...va va va voom, for sure! It was an exceptional performance, placing her at the top four..with a score of 27.
In the bottom two last week, Jane Seymour and Tony Dovolani...
and after last nights dance...in the bottom two they still remain. They performed the jive last night and it was definitely not Jane's night. It was actually her worst performance so far this season. Jane is a classy elegant woman, last night she came across has a middle aged woman trying to pull off the teeny bopper persona...did not work! It was definitely not her "cup of tea"....their score....22.
The first of the two men to represent last night....Cameron Mathison and Edyta Sliwinska...
danced their hearts out performing the Samba....their performance was fun, rythmic..well done. Although Bruno and Len felt it did not truly capture the spirit of the Samba...that their costumes and choreography were too bizzarre and kind of tribal. I had to agree with Carrie Ann though...it was primal, it was passionate and I loved it! Their score....25.
Following Cameron and Edyta were Mel B and Maxim
Chmerkovsky...
dancing the rumba...it was a cliffhanging performance...beautifully paced, they never lost control. It was passionate/mesmerizing...truly sensational. Although, a little over the top at the end...what with Maxim kissing Carrie Ann and Mel B sitting on Bruno's lap...can we say "suck up?"....Bruno said it rode the fine line between love and hate....Len said said it was perfected, inspected, dissected and as far as he was concerned, it would not be rejected...Carrie Ann said it was the rumba she had been waiting all season to see....their score....30...which I felt was scored too high. They performed well...but not deserving of a perfect score in my opinion.
Staying on their feet last night....compared to last week...were Marie Osmond and Jonathan Roberts...
they performed the Paso Doble...Marie is a very passionate dancer, she gives it her all, but last night..she tended to lean toward safety, not giving 100%. She started out good, very dramatic..but she kind of paused half way through, never really got it back...after last weeks fainting spell...she spent too much of her time sliding/lying on the floor last night...Carrie Ann didn't like the parts where she was on the floor...flashbacks, you know....I can't blame her....she felt Marie played it too safe for the type of dance she was dancing. Len said she was like a gypsy dancing around the campfire cooking sausages and Bruno felt she started out like Catherine Zeta-Jones and ended up like Catherine Zeta-Cranky...their score....23.
Last but surely not least....we had my main man...Helio Castroneves and Julianne Hough....
dancing the Cha-Cha...and man, can my man cha-cha! What a performance! Last week, he tried to be something he was not, but this week...he revamped...refueled...and recharged his engines...Vroom...Vroom...thier performance was fast, fun...Helio was all love last night...he was rebranded, repackaged and regenerated...those were Bruno's words...he is defintely back in the race...with a score of 28.
Ending the show last night...the entire group danced a fun rocking performance to Rockin' Robin...I just loved it...it had me tapping my toes....was a blast to watch...gave me the dancing fever! Man...I would love to dance like that.
Wonderful show...wonderful contenders...it's going to be awesome to see who is going to win...everyone is at the top of their game...they can only keep improving.
So...elimination tonight...who is going home?
Who do you think should be eliminated?
My guess...Marie Osmond and Jane Seymour will be the bottom two...with Jane going home tonight.
Dixiechick....out.
