DANCING WITH THE STARS******
Who is watching? Who do you think is going home tonight? I think Helio Castroneves and Julianne Hough did a phenomenal job....that is who the husband and I are pulling for. (We are huge race fans...we are hoping since Helio is single, that him and Julianne hook up)....To go Home? I think Josie Maran will go home....she is definitely not dancing material..maybe as a model..dancing? Not so much...Let me know your thoughts.

IT'S FIVE O'CLOCK SOMEWHERE...DEFINITELY NOT HERE.
I AM HAVING A CRAPTASTIC DAY.....I WANT TO GO HOME.......
THIS IS ME RIGHT ABOUT NOW.....DELIRIOUS!
Rescue Me.....My oh My....
Everyone that knows me, husband included...knows I love the show Rescue Me....it comes on Wednesday nights, 10 p.m., on FX...If you haven't seen it, the series is on DVD, check it out...I promise you won't be disappointed.
Anyway, last night I had the chance to hang out with my boys and some real fireman...Aaron is in Cubscouts, and last night he had a "Go and See", where the scout leader picks a location of learning/interest, the tiger cubs, with their parents have the chance to go and visit the firestation/firemen. When we got there, I immediately noticed how handsome/hot two of the four fireman were....Me and a couple of the other moms were like, OOoooohhh, this is going to be just as fun for us as it will be for the kiddos....talk about Eye Candy...but the joke was on us...five minutes after arriving, there was a call, out of the four firemen there, guess which two had to leave??...yeah, the hot ones. Anyway, they gave the kids a demonstration of the fire truck, showed them how their suits look with everything on..Did you know a firemens suit, with all equipment, weighs around 80 lbs....holy hell...can you imagine having to carry that around? Anyway, we toured the inside of the fire house...and upstairs were their sleeping quarters. The kids seemed fascinated that the firemen had to sleep there, couple of the stinkers started to open up some of the crews lockers....um, probably should not have done that...because being firemen, and being men....guess what kind of pictures they had taped on the inside....Um, yeah...those kind. The firemen kind of laughed, embarrassed, and slammed the locker shut....I don't think the kids had a chance to see anything, but we hightailed it back downstairs anyway...Too funny!

Whew! I Survived......
Well....here it is, Monday afternoon....I am beat! After leaving work Friday, I had to drive to pick up 14 year old (J), who lives with his Dad and my oldest son, about 45 miles from me. Oldest son (T) could not make it for the weekend. He has a part time job, football games and friends, so...his weekend was pretty packed, once again, I missed seeing him. After meeting the ex to pick up (J), we had to go to Hell-Mart, for groceries, final preparations for (A)'s party, so...I did not get home until late....The hubby had to work Friday night, so around 11, my neighbor friend from next door, came over....we ended up sharing an entire large bottle of Merlot, she stayed over until 3 a.m...Man, was I tired...woke up a little hung-over...nothing like a red-wine headache..man, I felt like crap...but, what can I say you play..you pay. But, I knew the show must go on...lot's to do for A's party so....Saturday was spent picking up the cake ,decorating, cleaning, etc...
The party was great...not every one I was counting on showed up, but he had a pretty good turn out. Kids started showing up at four, had them until nine p.m...after the party, cake and presents, loaded up the kids and went to play lazer tag...they had a blast! I had fun playing with them as well...man, was it hot in that place. There was absolutely no air what so ever...unless they get some air flow, we won't be going back for a while. Anyway, Maxter...(4 yr old) had so much fun. The lazer tag vest was bigger than he was, but he was adamant that he was a big boy, he was going to do it by himself. I put the vest on him, which probably weighs 6-7 lbs, way too big, down past his knees, but he played, ran and kept it on the entire time. I wished I could have gotten some pictures, but it was too dark in there, if you recall, I need a new camera, so the pictures would have probably been crappy anyway.
After lazer tag, we headed home, dropping kids off along the way. The sleep over that was planned dwindled down to one child, who decided he would rather have (A) sleep over at his house instead, they are neighbors of mine, the parent's were fine with (A) sleeping over there..so, came home, packed A an overnight bag, back to the neighbors, stayed over and visited there for an hour, then home to watch a movie with 14 year old and the hubby.
Sunday was rather uneventful...cooked huge breakfast for everyone, picked up A, spent majority of the day on housework...back to the grindstone today...
I will post some pics from the week-end soon....if anyone could tell me how to set up a flicker account, get it to show on my blog, I would be so grateful...still getting my feet wet with this whole blog thing, lot's I want to do...just don't know how, so tips would be appreciated.

LUNCH TIME TRAFFIC.....
I absolutely hate having to run errands on my lunch break.....I live in a city with a population of around 180,000 people and I swear to all that is holy, that everyone was out during my lunch break....I sat through four light changes at one intersection. My life is always stressful, from the minute my feet hit the floor in the morning, until I drop exhausted at night....Sometimes, going to work is the only "break" I get. I am sure there are many other women/moms out there that are in the exact situation as I am...so, anyway...Some days, I prefer to just shut my office door, have peace and quiet for one solitary hour.
Alas...today, that was not to be. My third child (A) is turning eight years old this Sunday, I am giving him a birthday party Saturday evening, so you guessed it...lot's of errands to run today on my lunch break....first to Toy's R Us to pick up a couple of gifts A has had his eye on for a while...he is really into die cast scaled diorama war sets...kind of like G.I.Joe, but on a smaller level...anything camouflaged and army related he loves. At eight years old, he knows already he wants to join the Army when he grows up....so, his fascination with all things army.
Anyway, after leaving Toy's R Us....I had to go to the Halloween store, (clear on the other side of town) to pick up some "army" toy accessories he had seen there a few days ago...(My family loves Halloween-so we start our shopping/decorating really early)....after leaving there, back to the opposite side of town again to the Factory Card Outlet, for wrapping paper/party supplies. Whew!!! I am exhausted....wished I could have taken care of some of it earlier in the week, but since today is payday, our budget did not allow it.
(A) is so excited for his party....I am trying to keep things on a smaller scale this year, than last year (that party is another whole post in itself), so I invited close family, four of his friends over to my house this year. We are keeping things rather simple....camouflaged decorations, camouflaged cake, pizza, ice-cream, etc....I invited the four boys, along with all four of my boys, to a sleep-over....Come to the party, bring your sleeping bags, stay the night...but that is not all....I had the freaking brilliant idea to "TAKE THEM TO PLAY LAZER TAG"!!!!!! What the h-ll was I thinking????? Oh, Well.....like I said (A) is excited.....Hopefully, I can post and show pictures sometime over the weekend. Wish me luck....I will need it. Guess I am a glutton for punishment, but kids.....gotta love them...I do very much. So, I always try to make happy memories for them....birthdays have to be special!

“Honey, you are not supposed to ask a lady her age,” the mother warns. “It is not polite.”
“Ok,” the little girl says. “How much do you weigh?”
“Now really,” the mother says, “these are personal questions, and really none of your business.”
Undaunted, the little girl asks, “Why did you and daddy get a divorce?”
“That is enough questions, honestly!” The exasperated mother walks away as the two friends begin to play.
“My Mom wouldn’t tell me anything,” the little girl says to her friend.
“Well,” said the friend, “all you need to do is look at her drivers license. It is like a report card—it has everything on it.” Later that night, the little girl says to her mother, “I know how old you are. You are 32.”
The mother is surprised and asks, “How did you find that out?”
“I also know that you weigh 140 pounds.” The mother is past surprise and shocked now.
“How in heaven’s name did you find that out?”
“And,” the little girl says triumphantly, “I know why you and daddy got a divorce.”
“Oh really?” the mother asks. “And why’s that?”
“Because you got an F in sex.”

New Camera-For Sure!
Looking back at the last two pictures...I have come to the realization that I need a new camera! The digital one that I have is like...um.....seven freaking years old! I feel so out of touch with the digital world...it is big, it is chunky, kind of reminds me of the cell phones, with they first came out in the early eighties???? I have got to get with the program here....a little bribery with the hubby....score me a new camera....Question is, what kind? Any one have any recommendations for a good, small, reasonably priced digital camera? Help a dixiechick out here?
