Well....conferences didn't go too bad last night...Aaron (9 yr old) did extremely well...all A's and B's, one C...the C was in math...he is struggling a little, but I see that he can bring that up, he just needs to check his work.
Max on the other hand...well, let's just say I was right about his teacher and leave it that...I am not happy with her at all..she talks in circles, makes no sense...she tells me that Max is immature....Hello!!! He is 5 yrs old....this is kindergarten we are talking about here.....she threw out the ADHD thing..I told her, hold it right there....are you a doctor or a teacher? She goes, Well... a teacher, it may be too soon to tell, I am not sure...he is just very energetic...and I told her, a little boy full of energy does not make him a candidate for ADHD.....I also asked her was this her solution for every child she had? Well, no...Max is not the only talkative child in the class....this is my worse class ever for talking and I have been teaching a long time.....I won't go any further....she is just ridiculous....I would give anything to take him out of her class....
As far as school work goes, he is doing ok...not great, but o.k....he is graded with checks, plus marks, minus marks, the majority of every area were checks and plus marks.....
I was rather pleased with their report cards though....have some work to do with Max, and he is coming along....he is just all boy and if Mrs. S can't handle kindergartners, she should change professions!
