And so..the Work week begins again.....

Hey, ya'll....sorry for the late post today...busy Monday here at work....first moment I have had to post anything. I don't have a lot to talk about....my weekend was busy. Spent the day in Terre Haute Saturday with my two oldest boys. (The two youngest...Aaron..was with his Dad and Max was with Grandma and Grandpa)...It was nice. I haven't seen the oldest since Christmas, so we really enjoyed our visit. Took them out to lunch...Applebee's....I love going there. Their weight watchers meals are excellent, very low in calories, so I can actually enjoy eating out, yet dieting at the same time.

Good News....I have lost 19 lbs....I am now down to 127 lbs...only five more to go....Whoo Hoo! Pictures to be posted soon....as soon as I can get hubby to take some decent ones for me.

Then we did the mall thing for a couple hours. Bought Tim some cologne for his prom, which is coming up in a few weeks. This is his junior prom and he is really excited. His step-mom took him to get his tux....it's going to be all white...his girlfriends dress is white/silver. His step Mom took his picture in it at the tux shop....he looks so grown up and handsome. I am definitely going to make the trek back down to Terre Haute on the day of his prom, so I can take my own pictures, see him leave for his prom with his girlfriend. I think I am going to offer to pay for their dinner or rent them a limo...surprise him with it.
I refuse to allow his step mom to share in this moment in his life without me being there. It's bad enough she tells everyone, I mean everyone they are her sons...Don't get me wrong...I like her ok..she is good to my boys..but the ex/her make all the decisions when it comes to them, I am never included in anything when it comes to those two boys. I still have physical custody, according to the court...but they both chose to go and live with their Dad when they both turned 13...broke my heart, to say the least. I struggled, raised them up through the hard years, when they become pretty self sufficient, they go live with their dad. They swore it wasn't me....I know that. I think my remarrying and having another baby had something to do with it...but, I don't know for sure. I do know that all boys reach an age where Mom is just not as important, They need their Dad...I get it. They also did not want to move away to Lafayette...they wanted to go to the same schools, so I took the back seat...let them go live with Mike...it hurt like hell, but the important thing is they are happy and adjusted. At the time, when the oldest chose to move in with his Dad...his Dad had not met married Tracy...the new wife. She brought two children into that marriage with her...children that the ex often puts before his own, our boys, Tim and Justin.....anyway, that's neither here nor there...I am getting way off tangent here. All I am getting at is, I invited myself down, I will be there to share in the Prom experience with my son.

Anyway, back to Saturday...after lunch, we did the mall thing..then I took them to see the movie 21...it was really really good and I highly recommend it. Tim's girlfriend was in a softball tournament all day, she couldn't join us..so after the movies, she was home, Tim wanted me to spend some time with her, so we went by her house for me to meet her parents, then I took them back to the mall, because they wanted to hang out and get Auntie Ann's pretzels....they were still stuffed from lunch, popcorn at the movies, so they were not hungry for dinner, or I would have taken them all out to eat again. It was awkward...I am not too crazy about this girl...I liked the one before her better....now don't get me wrong, she is a very nice girl...we just didn't click....it was strained conversation....I was tired...it had been a long day for me...so, after a half hour or so, I took them all back to Tim and Justin's house, I headed to the in-laws which is 45 minutes away.

Hubby was already there, we intended to spend the night with them and Max....since Aaron's Dad would be there Sunday evening to drop him off...saved on gas money....since that is so damned expensive at the moment. Hubster had planned on fishing all day Saturday, the in-laws live on a huge lake property, while I was in Terre Haute with the boys, but due to the weather, it was too cold and nasty out. So, he spent the day sleeping....I got there around nine p.m. Saturday night, we stayed up and watched movies with his mother...Sunday was spent hanging out, watching more movies, waiting on Aaron's Dad to drop him off (he lives in Terre Haute as well~the lake house is the halfway point between Terre Haute and where we live in Lafayette)...then, we headed home.

Oh...I did get to see firsthand how much hubbys parents spoil Max....He is the only grandchild that will carry on his Dad's last name, so Max is really special to them...they have been getting him every other weekend since he was about three weeks old....they absolutely adore him...whatever Max wants, he pretty much gets...they fix his meals a certian way, they have his own toys, clothes etc for him there. His grandfather takes him fishing, golfing...he has his own three wheeler, fishing tackle, golf clubs there for his visits...get this...his grandpa even shocked me yesterday with how far they go to accomodate Max....he goes to give Max a piece of double bubble bubblegum, before doing so...he heats it up for a few seconds in the microwave, to "soften" it for him so he can chew it more easily...can you believe that? I have never heard of such a thing...anyway, After Aaron was dropped off....we headed home....

Watched Desperate Housewives last night...what did you all think about that? It was boring to me...not much to comment on there.

Now..back to work today....another week of drudgery to get through. Highlight of today is knowing Dancing With the Stars is on tonight.

Later...
